Community Conversations

“One of the things we need to learn is that very great change starts from very small conversations, held among people who care.” - Margaret Wheatley

In Jasper, all residents are invited to become members of something called the Jasper Community Team. Members come together each month for a conversation about the community. At these community conversations, members share information about social issues and trends they're noticing. Then, the group problem-solves and provides mutual support in tackling these issues. Participants work together to come up with innovative, locally-driven solutions to social challenges that are identified. Anyone is invited to take part  and members can come and go as their availability allows.

Jasper Community Team members take part in up to four community conversations per month, each one focusing on a different age group:

1). Young Children (pre-natal to age 5) and their families
2). School-Age Children and their families.
3). Adults
4). Older Adults/Seniors
