The Government of Alberta is extending the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) grant until June 30, 2020, allowing Wildflowers Childcare to continue offering $25/day child care for three additional months.

In 2017, Wildflowers was selected as one of 22 child care centres to become an Early Learning Childcare Centre (ELCC). For three years, under the NDP’s pilot project, the centre received operating grants to add new spaces, hire more staff and reduce fees to $25/day. The funding was to end March 31.
