T-Shirts with Heart!

Familiar faces from Settlement Services and Community Outreach Services (COS) have been creating wonderful opportunities for Jasperites to come together in Edmonton.

On August 21, Jasperites joined forces with the Edmonton Public Library team in the library's ‘makers’ section. Together, they crafted beautiful, personalized t-shirts featuring a heartfelt design. The t-shirts showcase an image of a bear blending into a forest, accompanied by the words:

A place of love, hope, and dreams.
Jasper, AB 2024

It was a heartwarming occasion as 20 Jasperites came together to connect, share their stories, and create these lovely t-shirts. Both the t-shirts and the gathering itself symbolize hope, healing, and resilience – a testament to the community spirit and supportive nature of Jasperites, wherever they might find themselves.

Thank you to the Settlement and COS teams for the photos.

Thank you neighbours!

We are overwhelmed by all of the support our Alberta and BC neighbours have shown over the last two weeks 🥹

Thank you for welcoming Jasperites with open arms, food, housing, clothing, toys, essential items, and even free activities in your towns and cities. When we reunite and rebuild, we hope to repay your kindness and show you the same hospitality in our town.

Jojo the Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge pet

“Jojo” is the Alpine Summit Lodge Seniors pet.

He has been living out at Folding Mountain for the last few months. He is beloved by local seniors who miss him dearly.

On Aug. 1, Jojo visited the Continuing Care Centre in Hinton to spread feather-filled love to his evacuated Jasper friends.

Thanks for the on-site support, Jojo!

Your dedication and hard work have made a tremendous difference in ensuring the safety and well-being of our pets❤️

Grandpa's bike

We were uplifted to see Grandpa Dong riding his bike around Hinton. Grandpa lost everything in the fire. Knowing how much joy biking brings Grandpa, his son quickly replaced his bike.

During difficult times, it’s familiar activities that bring comfort and keep our spirits up. Make sure to wave to Grandpa Dong if you see him riding around Hinton!
