Wildfire Recovery Information

The Jasper Recovery Coordination Centre (JRCC), a vital partnership between Municipality of Jasper and Parks Canada, was established on August 22, 2024, to ensure continued collaboration and progress as the community moves forward from the impact of the 2024 Jasper wildfire. The JRCC is focused on restoring services and supporting residents and businesses through their recovery journey.

As we close out 2024, take a moment to watch the mayor's address as he reflects on the progress accomplished in the final months of the year.

How do I apply for housing?

To be considered for interim housing that may be available, you must complete the official housing application. For interim housing in Jasper, priority will be given to essential workers.

Essential workers are individuals who provide services necessary for the functioning and safety of our community, including roles in public safety, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and government services.

If you do not fall into the category of an essential worker, you can still fill out the application. However, we strongly encourage you to look at other options as well – whether with a friend or in an area outside of Jasper.

Everyone, regardless of whether they are essential workers or not, is encouraged to explore housing solutions that will work for them either inside or outside of Jasper, until rebuild is complete.

For more information on interim housing, visit the housing progress webpage.
