You're different? That's awesome. You're just like the rest of us!
The Diversity Project provides each of us with an opportunity to explore our feelings about diversity and our own personal reactions to differences.
The project offers us a chance to get to know our neighbours a little bit better and the hope is that it sparks conversation and generates new ways of seeing ourselves, each other and our community.
About the Project:
The Diversity team attended community events and set up a photo booth. Community members were invited to write out and hold up a sign, stating what makes them unique and diverse. Photos were collected of all the participants and two books were created, showcasing the rich diversity of Jasper’s population. Banners were also created and hung on light standards throughout the downtown core.

Learning about Diversity in Jasper
These diversity ‘snapshots’ are intended to help you learn more about the people in our community who are at risk of exclusion.
Each snapshot is about a specific group, but there is diversity within each group.
As such, these snapshots are not all encompassing, they are rather a jumping off point for discussion.
