Create a community and meet your neighbours with our Neighbourhood Connections program. When we know our neighbours, our communities are safer and more resilient. 

Goodie Bags

Do you have a new neighbour? We have a free goodie bag you can bring them! Come to Community Outreach Services (COS) and pick up a bag to welcome them to the neighbourhood. 

Host Your Own Event

A block party? A garden tour? Anything you can think of that would build connections in your neighbourhood! You could be given up to $200 for food and/or activities for you to host. Here is a form to fill out with all your event information. Please allow up to two weeks for your application to be processed.

This program trains volunteers to complete tax and benefit returns for people with a simple tax situation. 

Volunteers complete between 40-50 tax returns. To access the program, contact Community Outreach Services.

ESS is a group of staff and volunteers who take care of people during an active emergency. 

ESS focuses on food, shelter, transportation, health and safety needs. This includes support for people who do not speak English and people with physical or mental disabilities. Read more about preparing for an emergency.
