New recovery-focused training opportunity: Pathfinders

What is the Pathfinders Program:

The Pathfinders program supports Jasper’s recovery from the 2024 wildfire by providing residents who are natural leaders and connectors tools and strategies to support others. It gives them recognized training so they can assist others in navigating pathways to recovery. It’s main goal is to build resilience through connection.

The Pathfinders Program includes 4 core training modules:

  • Community Supports Training (Full Day)
  • Mental Health First Aid Training (Full Day)
  • Suicide Prevention Training (Half Day)
  • Navigating Community Recovery (Half Day)

Once complete there will be opportunities:

  • To be recognized in the community as a pillar of recovery
  • To stay connected as a group
  • For additional trainings and professional development

If you would like to become a Pathfinder or if you know of a community member, employee or colleague who would be a great Pathfinder, please fill out the nomination form.

If you have any questions or would like more information on the Pathfinders program, please contact pathfinders@jasper-alberta.ca
