Development Utility Application

The Municipality of Jasper must approve the design and location of servicing connections before you can submit your building permit plans. 

Please complete this application package and submit it to muniapprovals@jasper-alberta.ca for review and approval.  

Once approved, the Municipality of Jasper will issue you a Letter of Approval to be included in your Parks Canada Building Permit application. This is the letter of approval listed in your Building Permit requirements letter.

Additional Applicable requirements:

(Submit applicable documents as required by the nature of the development)

EgressApplicable to Developments where access and egress to the property causes change to municipal property (includes sidewalks, driveways and alley access)
Off Site Levies
  • Applicable to Developments where the livable square footage has increased. 
  • Applicable changes are calculated by Parks Canada as part of the Development Permit.
  • Charges are to be paid at the municipal Administration Office at 303 Pyramid Lake Rd. or by calling 780-852-3356.
  • As of December, 2025 Off Site Levy payments are required to be paid BEFORE a Municipal Approval Letter will be issued.
Solid WasteApplicable to Developments which require the location of a new solid waste bin. 
Traffic Mgmt.Applicable to Developments which effect municipal roads or Traffic Laws.
Utility ServiceApplicable to Developments which require connections to Municipal Water Sewage. 
Fire Safety PlanApplicable to all Developments within the Town of Jasper.
